Do you recycle? Compost? Reuse household items until no other use can be wrung from them? Why or why not? Do you try any other ways to affect your household's footprint?

we dont have a garden, so we cant compost, but we stack our newspapers and save glass, and every so often take them down to the recycling place down the road. its funny when we take the glass, becose we put it in the basket on our bicycle, and it rattles as we push it down the road. hehehe.  we always take bags to the supermarket so we dont need to get many new ones, and the extra we do have, we use to put our rubbish in. we also try to conserve water in the house as much as possible, and in the winter we hang a heavy curtain at the door to keep out drafts to reduce the gas we use.

why do we do this? well in this house we are always watching documentaries, and have learnt enough from them to know that we're putting our future in danger. it also makes us feel good to be able to do our bit. i wish we could do more, but there isnt anywhere to recycle cans and plastic, so they have to go to the dump with the ordinary trash. oh the other thing we do is when we have enough money, buy eco cleaning products. but they cost more so we cant always do that.
